Blue Mountains

Grace and I realized our first issue today. Whenever we travel to see things, we never account for weather. We were both really excited to see the Blue Mountains today. An hour or so west of Sydney, we thought it would be a perfect morning adventure. However, once we got to the Blue Mountains national park, we notoced it was extremely foggy and misting. We wouldn't mind the rain, but the fog made it really hard to go "site seeing"....

What we were supposed to see:

What we saw:

Disappointed, we drove around a bit and found Leura's Cascades. Luckily, we were able to see it a bit better.

In hopes of the weather clearing up, we drove around until we got lost. Luckily, we did a huge circle and ended up right where we started. By then, Jamison valley was cleared up a littleeee bit more.

Although we are disappointed that we didn't experience the Blue Mountains as hoped, we did like the little towns we went through. It reminded us a lot of small towns at home. Shops were lined up like downtown Wolfeboro and Conway. Mountains, small lakes, rivers and water falls surrounding. It would be a very cute weekend retreat some day...
